His 17 published plays have been produced in New York, regional theater, and Europe. Dresser’s Little League comedy, Rounding Third, started in Chicago at the Northlight Theatre and went on to off-Broadway and over a hundred productions,
The initial spark for the play was his own son’s time in Little League. Dresser was shocked when his son came home chatting about the coach’s new “strategy”. The boys were being taught to fake an injury so they could be replaced by a faster runner. Dresser wound up as the new coach.
During that time he worked as a writer on the television show, The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd. Today, Dresser continues to write, and
also teaches at Rutgers University.
